WHO WE ARE

ABOUT POLYGON™ MEDICAL

Polygon Medical, Inc, is a privately held company based in Boston, MA, that has developed a cost effective, simple, easy to use device for the removal of small intrauterine polyps. The Polygon Tissue Resection device is FDA cleared and utilizes an ergonomic handle for control of the tissue cutting mechanism. Since the cutting bay is normally closed, fluid loss is minimized making it possible to complete procedures with only a pressure cuff and fluid bag for fluid distension.

Polygon Medical was formed by a team of forward-thinking doctors and seasoned medical device executives to respond to the increasing need for a simple, safe and effective means for removing small polyps in the comfort of the office setting or an ASC or OR.

THE MESSAGE WAS CLEAR

Doctors were seeking a simple, cost-effective alternative that enabled them to see and treat small pathology.

They wanted an easy to use, more efficient, standardized device to support their desire:

  • To be able to remove the small polyps that are so
frequently observed with hysteroscopy in the office.

  • Approach must be low risk and be financially attractive for both patient and physician.

Current methods requiring OR appointments, set-up and time away from the office for both patient and physician are a barrier to rapid treatment. The Polygon Resection device was created to enable the clinician to conduct diagnostic hysteroscopy, remove small polyps and take visually guided biopsies without the need for a complicated fluid management system.
